Mara-thon starts this Saturday!
Sign up on a team, lace up your sneakers and let's get ready to go! Mara-thon training begins THIS Saturday. Have you picked your route yet? Remember, to go easy at first. If you've never walked 3 miles in a row, or haven't gone for a long walk in 10 years, maybe you should start small. Remember, you have a whole week (starting Saturday) to get in your 3 miles. You can just do 1/2 mile at a time if you like. If you haven't seen a doctor for a while or are under special care for any condition, you should probably get checked out by your doctor before you start. Don't worry, there's an extra week built into the schedule, so if you have to wait an extra week to get started--it's totally fine!
And whatever else you may do, don't forget to pray. There is always, always power in prayer.
