The Mara-thon team has been involved in a series of exciting kickoff meetings in the Pasadena district! We met team leaders from several churches at our meetings at Glendale First United Methodist Church, Covina United Methodist Church and culminating with our Saturday kickoff waaaay up in at Ridgecrest United Methodist Church (pictured above).
If you're interested in joining a team, it's not to late to start. Weekly walks are scheduled to begin next weekend (September 25). If you're interested in joining or forming a team, just email or call our Event Coordinator Eric Schmidt:

If your church does not sponsor a team, you can always join the district-wide team. (Eric's the leader so just call or email him.)
And remember, even if you chose not to walk, the Mara district can use your support in other ways. Sponsor another walker, participate in the final victory lap/fun walk/fellowship lunch, and please also include the Mara-thon and the Mara district in your prayers. Thanks!
