It was hot, hot, HOT for our kickoff weekend. But thankfully, much of our route was in the shade as the team at Church of the Foothills got underway with our inaugural Mara-thon walk. Even our team mascot, Max (he's the one wearing the black fur coat) got out there and put in some miles. (Well, Max's miles are adjusted for little dog legs.) We felt warmly blessed as we shared with one another and enjoyed the beautiful walking trail in Duarte. This past weekend was such a relief compared to the heat of the previous weekend. We really enjoyed the cooling rain. Hope your opening walks are going well too!
